Lanvin for H & M? Fingers Crossed!

Lanvin_Fall 2010

Fashion fans have been taunted with a string of ambiguous teaser videos of its upcoming collection leaving everyone guessing who’s behind it. Speculation has thrown out names such as Bottega Veneta, Vivienne Westwood and Carolina Herrera. According to Vogue UK, the luxury label said that "Maier has no plans to launch a joint line,” confirming that Bottega Veneta is definitely out of the running—at least this time around.

WWD, however, is confident it is spot on with their guess – Lanvin.

For those of you who are not in the know (shame on you!), Lanvin is the oldest fashion house in France, it's a label that everyone recognizes, most covet and few can afford. The brand received a major dose of revitalization when Alber Elbaz he was appointed artistic director of Lanvin in Paris in October 2001, and its reputation has only skyrocketed since.

So for anyone who's familiar with Lanvin, this is BIG news.

H & M and Elbaz have kept mum about it so far, happy keeping fashionistas in suspense till 9 September the launch date- the only thing the videos reveal.

Which Lanvin silhouette would you like to get your hands on?

Check out the line of videos:
